Housing and retail plans approved
Bassetlaw Council gave the green light to plans for an Aldi superstore in Bircotes at the authority’s planning meeting on Wednesday 1st May.
The development, located south of Scrooby Road, is expected to create 30 retail jobs in the area.
Planning committee members also approved proposals to build 118 homes on the former Harworth Colliery site, with a £400,000 allocation for affordable housing on the development.
Plans were also passed to build 80 houses, a residential care home and 15 pensioner homes on the formr Dormer Tools factory site on Shireoaks Road.
