Hesp does his best to impress in the Aegir nine-mile time trial

Gainsborough Aegir CC rode a nine mile route for last week’s time trial, with Julian Hesp impressing in 21:59.

He was followed by Matt Hindmarsh and son Liam.

The fastest overall riders was private triallist Andy Lewin.

The afternoon was then spent at the Dog & Gun Public House, which just so happened to be the finishing line.

Members enjoyed a get together and end of season barbecue.

Results: 1st Julian Hesp 21.59, 2nd Matt Hindmarsh 22.10, 3rd Liam Hindmarsh 22.30 , 4th Andy Clarke & Joe Nash 23.16 (tandem), 5th Steve Dobson 24.53, 6th Arran Watson 26.07, 7th Trevor Halstead 27.15.

On Sunday the club will host its annual Hill Climb, starting at 9.50am under Thonock Bridge.

Riders will then go for a short ride at 10.30amfor dinner at Café Latte in Lord Street, Gainsborough, before the club’s AGM at Morton Village Hall at 2pm.
