Christopher Kent and Robert-Dean White completed a sponsored 13-mile hike from Harworth to Worksop in aid of Help For Heroes.
After collecting £373.50 sponsorship money, the pair handed the cheque to Tony Eaton, local Help For Heroes co-ordinator.
“They had both meant to do an organised charity walk from Retford to Worksop, but it was called off,” explained Robert-Dean’s dad, Francis Robert White.
“Rather than have to collect back all the cash people had pledged, they did their own walk.”
