The event, organised by Harworth Brass Band, will take place on Saturday, February 20 at Langold Village Hall, from 7-9pm.

All proceeds will go to youngsters at Langold Dyscarr, with the money used for a school trip or disco.

Organiser, Lesley Kerr, whose daughter Lucinda, 17, used to attend the school and plays in the brass band, said: “When we heard about the fire it was a big shock, I was gutted.

“We got together and decided that we wanted to give something back.”

The brass band, which has about 25 members, aged from 10 to 85, will perform for two hours.

There will also be raffle tickets with a number of prizes up for grabs including watches, jewellery, gift sets, drinks and teddy bears.

Tickets are priced £3.50 and can be bought from the school, from Lesley or people can pay on the night if spaces are available.
