Harron Homes donate £1,000 to Shireoaks Village Hall renovation project

Harron Homes have provided Shireoaks Village Hall with a much-needed donation of £1000.

As part of the company’s community outreach project in the region, the firm donated the funds to assist with a new renovation project.

Built in 1810, it has been some 35 years since the Village Hall has seen any renovation work.

The Hall is a key building in the village of Shireoaks, hosting many community events in the area and serving as a meeting facility for local groups such as the Beavers and Women’s Institute.

The donations will be used as a cornerstone of the renovation project and will be put towards new electric fittings including heating and lighting.

Peter Stanley, head of Committee said: “The support from Harron Homes is much appreciated – it is great to see companies present in the area recognise the need to support local causes.

“The Village Hall is popular and well used in the community and the funding helps us move forward with our ambitious plans to refurbish this wonderful community facility.”
