Andy Neal, Elaine Neal and Terrisa Hardingham, who run 26th Worksop Scout Group, were presented with Guardian Roses in a surprise ceremony on Tuesday 16th June.

The busy trio were nomianted by Rachel Wood and her children Billy, age seven, and Maisy, age five, who are both members of the group.

Rachel said: “Andy and Elaine are married and have been doing Scouts for many, many years.”

“They are the most loving, generous, caring and hardworking couple ever who both have normal full time jobs as well as running the scouting group. The work they put in is amazing.”

“Terrisa is treasurer and 2nd leader for the Beavers, who are age six to eight, and is brilliant with them all also.”

To mark the tenth anniversary of the 26th Worksop Scout Group, the trio organised a trip to Legoland Windsor which over 40 scouts thoroughly enjoyed.

Rachel added: “Legoland was unbelievable for the children and I think all the parents want to thank the three of them in a special way to show how much they are appreciated and how much we admire them for what they do with our children.”

“It’s a very active group- they go on camps many times a year and are always doing badges and going on exciting days out.”

“Scouting is great for boys and girls as they gain skills, make friends, improve confidence and feel part of a team.”
