Group who falsely imprisoned a man at a house in Gainsborough to face trial later this year

Five people accused of falsely imprisoning a man at a house in Gainsborough are to face trial in front of a jury later this year.

Aivaras Sepronas, 42, of Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough,, Andrius Svetickas, 26, of Parnell Street, Gainsborough, Egidijus Zukauskas, 42, of Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough, Vidas Aleksandravicius, 48, of Parnell Street, Gainsborough and Jurgita Makaroviene, 34, of Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough, all pleaded not guilty to false imprisonment when they appeared before Lincoln Crown Court today, Monday, February 22.

Sepronas also denied possession of a firearm with intent, two charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and a further charge of possessing ammunition.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place on November 15.

All five defendants were arrested following an armed police operation in Gainsborough centred on a house in Ashcroft Road in the town.

Judge Michael Heath adjourned the case for a 10 day trial due to commence on May 16.

All five defendants were remanded in custody.
