Group still going strong - after 90 years!

IT was party time for a Worksop brownie group as members gathered to celebrate its 90th birthday.

The 6th Worksop North St Annes Brownie Pack - known 90 years ago as Lady Robinson’s Own - started life under the leadership of the wife of the vicar of St Annes Church.

And the unit has flourished, going from strength to strength ever since.

The Brownies gathered at St Annes Church to enjoy their party organised by Brown Owl Philippa Menzhuausen and assistant guiders Vicki and Taz Oliver-Smith.

Chairman of the Trefoil Guild Joyce Woods said the evening had been ‘wonderful’.

“It was such a lovely night and such a special event for everyone who was there,” she said.
