It follows the death of window fitter Glen Kitchens on Saturday 6th April.

Mr Kitchens, 40, of Sunnyside, Worksop, died of head trauma after an incident in Bridge Street in Worksop town centre.

The teenager, who can not be named for legal reasons, did not enter a formal plea at this morning’s hearing.

He was remanded into youth detention accommodation until next week, when an application for bail will be made.

Judge John Milmo QC set a preliminary date of 12th July for a plea and case management hearing.

Any subsequent trial is likely to take place in early September.
