Sammytheone, who is known for dancing with Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Beyoncé, helped the youngsters learn a ‘flash mob dance’ in the playground.

The children donned futuristic fancy dress outfits as part of their robot-themed science and technology week.

Headteacher, Paula Blythe, said: “Clare Hibbert, Daniel Webster and the rest of our school team have worked so hard to plan a week which was packed with exciting learning opportunities for the children.”

“They learned robot dances, wrote robot poems, created robot art and parents were invited into school to build robot models.”

“The staff even surprised parents and children by taking part in a ‘flash mob’ dance!”

“It has been a brilliant week and the wonderful comments from children and parents have made us all extremely proud. It is a perfect example of excellence and enjoyment in action at Gateford Park Primary School!”
