Gainsborough: Two people rescued from River Trent
A dramatic rescue took place in the River Trent at Gainsborough last night (Sunday 24th November 2013).
Reports came in at around 9.20pm that two people were in the river off Ropery Road.
The Gainsborough Water Rescue crew used their boat to rescue a female, while fire crews from nearby Misterton threw a rope to pull a male to the side.
Both people were taken to hospital.
