Gainsborough: Town residents raise more than £1,300 for charity

Having attended the local house-builders’ fund-raising event, The Belt community rallied around to raise the vital funds for the charity, which provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.

As well as raising money for Rainbow Trust, Barratt Homes also donated a host of fun games to the children’s charity, including giant snakes and ladders and lawn jenga.

To help raise additional money at the fund-raising event, a children’s colouring competition also took place,.

Residents of The Belt development also held a cake stall.

David Waddington, sales operations manager for Barratt Homes, commented: “Here at Barratt Homes, we place a great emphasis on building communities and giving back to people in the local area.”

The Rainbow Trust is a charity that joins families of ill children in their own home and are there to provide practical support.
