Gainsborough: Tell us why you should be Santa’s helper at the Christmas Lights

The Gainsborough Standard has teamed up with Marshall’s Yard again this year to offer one lucky reader the chance to be Santa’s helper.

As well as helping to turn on the Christmas lights in Marshall’s Yard, the winner will get a fantastic hamper containing everything needed for a great Christmas Day.

The M&S hamper, worth £150, includes everything from chocolates and biscuits to a Christmas pudding and crackers.

Added to that will be a tasty turkey for the traditional Christmas dinner, an advent calendar to count down the days to the big day and a board game.

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize is tell us why you should be Santa’s helper.The competition is open to entrants aged 13 and under.

Entries should be a maximum of 200 words, which can be emailed to the Standard at [email protected] or dropped in to the Standard office in Britannia House, Marshall’s Yard.

The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday 14th November.

The winner will be contacted by the Marshall’s Yard team on Monday 17th November, so don’t forget to include a daytime contact number and email address.

The winner must also be available to be at Marshall’s yard on Saturday 22nd November at 6pm to help Santa switch on the lights.
