Gainsborough: Teengers mark World Mental Health Day
Gainsborough teenagers took part in an educational day in celebration of World Mental Health Day.
Flare students from the Community Learning Partnership (CLIP) explored the subject of older people and mental health. The day included a short talk from representatives from West Lindsey Leisure Centre, and a class discussion.
“I believe this afternoon really opened some of our students’ eyes and it showed them that older people can really suffer in silence at times due to mental health issues just as much as anyone else,” said Sarah-Jayne Pedder of CLIP.
