After photography Des’ second interest is bonsai and he entered three exhibit into this year’s flower show.

He gained two first places and a second. And in addition he gained an award for the best tree and pot combination and narrowly missed winning the best tree in the show which is voted for by the other competitors.

Pictured is the winning entry in the Shohin bonsai display category which was won by Des.

The Harrogate Autumn Flower Show took place from Friday, September 18, to Sunday, September 20.
