Gainsborough: Shoppers queue for Aldi re-opening

The re-opening of the supermarket on Lea Road, which was initially opened in 1991, has created an additional five jobs for local people.

The supermarket has been expanded to 958sqm to keep up with increased customer demand.

Aldi store manager David Salmon and his team enjoyed welcoming customers into the new-look store.

David said: “There was a fantastic buzz down at the store this morning and it was great to see so many people turn out for our store’s re-opening event.”

“The team and I were pleased to introduce shoppers to the new layout of the store,” he added.
