The council has provided a number of reconditioned laptops at the facility on Riseholme Road which can be used.

The council is working in partnership with the European Social Fund (ESF) to support the district-wide digital champions project.

It offers members of the public help looking for work by helping them access job websites, research training opportunities, apprenticeships and improving their CVs.

This has now been extended to include those who want to improve their general computer skills.

Sessions at GAPA take place from 10am to 12pm every Monday.

Volunteers can offer advice on a range of IT skills as well as give confidence to those who want help to understand the basics of getting online.

For more information on accessing the opportunities available at GAPA or the Guildhall, or if you are interested in the possibility of becoming a volunteer for the project, contact Robert at [email protected] or 01427 676513.
