Gainsborough Sport Sessions is a free series of sports classes run across various venues in the town, including chances to play dodgeball, football, girls’ football, futsal as well as taking part in boxercise, dance, multi-sports sessions and a youth club.

The sessions provide an informal and fun environment to try out and join in a sport which children might not have played before.

The Positive Futures project also offers one to one support for young people who may be experiencing problems fitting in with day to day life. Organisers also hope sessions will help young people find their identity by offering them the chance to join in with mainstream sessions and mix with people their own age.

The sessions last for an hour each and take place until 27th March.

Positive Future’s Community Sports Worker Steven Snell said: “These sessions are proving popular so far and we’re already hoping there will be a summer programme organised too. Our message is to come down and join in.”

For more information about the sessions and when and where they are taking place call Steven Snell on 01427 612379 or email [email protected].
