Gainsborough: Police appeal for witnesses after teenager is assaulted and robbed

Police are appealing for information after a 16 year-old boy was robbed an assaulted by two men in Gainsborough.

The incident occurred around 4.50pm on Thursday, 20th March as the boy was walking down Pingle Hill towards Marshalls Yard.

He was approached by two men who demanded his wallet and mobile phone.

One of the two men then punched the teenager twice before the pair walked him down Pingle Hill and stopped between the railway car park and Trinity Street.

The teenager was helped by a passer by and the offenders eventually ran off, it is believed in the direction of Beaumont Street.

The first man is described as around 6ft 5in, in his early 20s, wearing a white hooded top and white tracksuit bottoms, with a piercing in his right eyebrow.

The second man is described as around 5ft 10in and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

Officers are appealing for information and have asked anyone who was in the area between 4.45pm and 5.15pm and may have witnessed the incident or seen two men meeting this description to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 348 of 20/03/2014.
