Chestnut Homes began building homes at Foxby Chase, off Foxby Hill, more than a decade ago and the company has just finished putting the finishing touches to the final homes.

The development was officially completed by West Lindsey District Council’s Building Control department.

Chestnut Homes’ construction manager Rob Cucksey and contracts manager Mick Burridge were on site to receive the final completion certificate.

David Newton, managing director of Chestnut Homes, said: “Foxby Chase has been a real milestone development for us and it’s wonderful to see it complete after more than 10 years.”

“We’re leaving this site happy in the knowledge that we’ve created a fantastic new community for Gainsborough which residents can enjoy for many years to come.”

“We look forward to creating more communities like this across Lincolnshire in the years to come, starting with our forthcoming development of a site in Morton in the New Year.”

Trevor Durant, building control manager at West Lindsey District Council, said: “Chestnut Homes has delivered 107 much-needed, high-quality new homes in Gainsborough at Foxby Chase.”

“It’s always great to see a new community like this reach fruition and we are pleased to have worked with them to help deliver this successful development and look forward to working with such a professional team on their future developments within the district.”

“It is always a pleasure to work with a quality developer such as Chestnut Homes.”
