The new DN21 Awards have been organised to recognise some of the fantastic companies in the centre of Gainsborough, delivering great products and service in retail and other business sectors in the DN21 postcode area.

Nominations will be open on 7th April and the winners will be announced at an awards evening at The Blues Club on 4th June.

Centre manager for Marshall’s Yard, Alison Hall, said: “The awards are all about keeping it local and recognising the fantastic businesses we have right here in the heart of Gainsborough.”

“Our own awards night for Marshall’s Yard businesses has been running for four years and we felt it was the right time to expand this out into the town joining with the neighbouring businesses throughout the rest of Gainsborough.”

Gainsborough Trinity has been working hard over the last 12 months to get more involved with the community and businesses in Gainsborough.

Club chairman, Richard Kane, said: “We are really excited to be partnering Marshall’s Yard with the first ever DN21 Awards. We are keen to play an active part in the town and work with other businesses and organisations for the good of Gainsborough.”

“Trinity Football Club has a vision to become sustainable and grow as a club. The same ethos has to be said for its community-focused strategy and it’s by being ‘in it together’ that we can grow as a club, but also as a town that the fans can be really proud of.”

There are 10 award categories open to both retail and non-retail businesses. These include Retailer of the Year, Customer Service Team of the Year, Community Engagement Award, Green Business of the Year.
