Gainsborough Model Railway Society celebrate 70th anniversary
The Gainsborough Model Railway Society will mark the start of its 70th anniversary year at its annual general meeting.
The annual general meeting will be held in The Clubrooms in Florence Terrace, Gainsborough at 8pm on Monday, February 29, and is open to anyone with an interest in the society.
Chairman, Chris Wragg, said: “The Society was formed in 1946 by a group of young men freshly returned from World War Two.
“The annual general meeting is an important part of ensuring that the Society is running correctly and getting things under way for our open days for the year starting at Easter.”
