Gainsborough: Man accused of post office armed robbery to stand trial later this year

A man accused of staging an armed robbery at a village post office in Fiskerton is to stand trial in front of a jury later this year.

Anton Stepniewski, 26, of Sturgate, near Gainsborough, denied charges of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court today (Friday 15th May).

Stepniewski was arrested following a raid on the post office at Fiskerton near Lincoln on the morning of Tuesday 10th February.

Judge Michael Heath remanded Stepniewski in custody and adjourned the case for a trial to be held in August.
