The public services hub is not yet complete but the majority of building works are, which has enabled the council to reopen the main entrance.

During the works services occupying the ground floor will move to other accommodation. Voluntary Centre Services has moved to new office on the first floor, and this move is permanent.

Customers and visitors will be met on the ground floor and will be escorted to the temporary first floor reception.

In some instances the customer services team will be able to deal with their business on the ground floor.

Deputy Leader of the council, Coun Anne Welburn, is pleased this major project is now approaching the final stages.

She said: “By providing as many services as we can under one roof, will ultimately save time and make life simpler for residents.”
