Gainsborough: Long service award for Brenda from Foxby Court care home

Care workers throughout Lincolnshire have been recognised and awarded for their outstanding work and commitment at a recent awards ceremony.

The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit care home providers, held its annual Lincolnshire Employee Awards and more than 40 employees from the Trust’s 15 care homes throughout the county received recognition, including Brenda Broadberry from Foxby Court in Gainsborough, who was presented with a Long Service Award for 35 years of service.

Caroline Dunagan, OSJCT Assistant Operations Director for Lincolnshire, said: “This is always a very special time for OSJCT as it gives us the opportunity to recognise and reward our amazing employees for their outstanding contribution and commitment to the care residents living in our Care Homes throughout Lincolnshire.

“OSJCT is committed to offering the highest standard of care across the country, and our colleagues do so with great pride and integrity. We believe that the employee and resident relationship is a principal part of a resident’s experience within a care home so we will continue to go above and beyond when it comes to developing skills in order to ensure the best possible standard of living for those who depend on us most.”

Brenda said: “I really enjoyed the awards ceremony and it was quite overwhelming to receive this recognition.

“A lot has changed in the 35 years I have been working at Foxby Court, but what has stayed the same is the dedication of my colleagues and the fulfilment I get from looking after our residents everyday.”
