Gainsborough: Local man among 15 charged after large scale drugs op

A Beckingham man is among 15 people charged with 43 offences as part of a large-scale drugs investigation by Derbyshire police.

The 14 men and one woman were charged between 7th and 23rd May with offences including drugs possession, drugs supply and conspiring to conceal criminal property.

Fourteen of the people charged, aged between 17 and 66, are due to appear before High Peak Magistrates’ Court on 5th June.

A 32-year-old man from Great Longstone, Derbyshire, will appear before the same court on 3rd June.

David Atkinson, 45, of The Croft, Beckingham, is charged with conspiring to conceal or convert criminal property, possessing cannabis with the intent to supply and conspiring to supply cannabis.

The rest of the defendants are from across Derbyshire, including Darley Dale, Middleton, Renishaw, Buxton, Brimington and New Mills. Another man is from Beeston in Notts.
