Holly’s owner Rachael Taylor, 37, said: “We have had Holly since a puppy. She’s very well trained, she goes to her own area in the garden to use the toilet.

“If she is a little bit naughty, she takes herself off to the naughty step.

“At night, she growls at her dad until he moves off the sofa so she can sit with me, her mum.

“Once, she met a seal in the sea on our East Coast. They just stared at each other until the seal swam away.

“Holly is my shadow and follows me everywhere. She loves playing ‘tennis ball’ and always brings it back to be thrown again. She is a big part of our family.”
