Gainsborough: Five charged after armed police raid to appear at Lincoln Crown Court

The five people arrested and charged following an armed police raid in Gainsborough have been remanded in custody until they appear at Lincoln Crown Court.

The police operation, which involved specialist response teams, centred around an address in Ashcroft Road on Sunday, November 15.

A man and a woman were arrested at the address and another man and woman were arrested outside a shop on nearby Trinity Street.

Five people were then charged by officers on Tuesday, November 17, following Sunday’s operation.

Vidas Aleksandravicius, 48, of Parnell Street in Gainsborough and Jurgita Makaroviene, 33, of Ashcroft Road in Gainsborough, has been charged with false imprisonment.

Aivaras Sepronas, 42, of Ashcroft Road in Gainsborough, has been charged with false imprisonment and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Andrius Svetickas, 25 of Parnell Street in Gainsborough, and Egidijus Zukauskas, 42, of Ashcroft Road in Gainsborough, has been charged with false imprisonment and possession of a controlled class B drug.

All five have been remanded in custody and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday, December 15.
