Gainsborough: First ever Beach Party for the town

The town centre will be transformed into a sandy paradise, complete with the sounds of the sea, traditional peep boards and even a giant deck chair.

So splash on some sun cream, grab your bucket and spades and head over to the market place for some summer fun.

A specialist company has been booked to build the artificial seaside for families across the district to enjoy.

Rebecca Jackson, Gainsborough Markets Officer, said: “West Lindsey District Council is pleased to be able to bring a little bit of summer fun to the market place.”

“We are always looking for new ways to attract people to shop and visit in the area and we hope you will join us for a fun- filled weekend at Gainsborough’s first beach party.”

The event will take place on Saturday 8th August and Sunday 9th August.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the Saturday market as well as soaking up a range of other attractions on the day including, rides and face painting.

Those with a sweet tooth will be able to get their hands on some specially-made Gainsborough rock, bringing another taste of the seaside to town.
