Marshall’s Yard is joining forces with Trinity Football Club to bring the business community in Gainsborough together to celebrate and reward the excellent retailers and services there are in the town.

Marshall’s Yard’s Centre Manager, Alison Hall, said: “There’s a buzz amongst the business community in Gainsborough at the moment and it’s great to see all the entries starting to come in.”

“We know what an excellent town Gainsborough is to come and do business in and this is a great opportunity to celebrate and reward that.”

“The public are also now getting involved and since voting opened on our website www.dn21awards.co.uk more than 100 people have voted for their favourite retailer in town.”

The awards are free to enter and the presentation will be marked with a glitzy event held at the town centre’s Blue’s Club on 4th June.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s breakfast hosts, Scott and Carla, are hosting the event with BBC TV’s Rosemary Hawthorn, known as ‘the Knicker Lady’, as the special guest.

West Lindsey District Council have joined as the latest sponsor for the event and there is only one category left for local organisations or businesses to sponsor.

Chairman of Trinity Football Club, Richard Kane, said: “There’s been a great response from local business people for this event.”
