The money was raised at the 2013 National Bike Week Air Ambulance cycle ride - a joint event involving Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club, West Lincolnshire Cyclists Touring Club and Church Street Cycles, as well as individual cyclists.

Held in June, the rides were a big hit with many cyclists enjoying routes suitable for people of all ages.

Steve Underwood received the cheque on behalf of the air ambulance. Chairman of West Lindsey District Council Irmgard Parrott, Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club president Alan Revill and chairman Paul Reynolds were also there to lend their support on the night.
