Gainsborough: Christmas shopping with a Victorian feel at the Old Hall this month

“A host of the most talented artists and crafters from all over the UK will be unveiling their handywork,” said Theresa Workman, event organiser.

“There will be more than 70 craft workers presenting hand-made items of every description over the weekend, with new stall-holders taking over from Saturday to Sunday – it’s well worth visiting on both days.

“This year will include many new traditional crafts in their first ever year at the Old Hall.

“With shabby chic, hand-forged metal, leatherwear, decorative cosmetics, or funky tree decorations, there is something for everyone.”

“The famous punch will be flowing, the logs on the fires glowing and the musicians blowing as the hot mince pies are served in the medieval kitchen.”
