Gainsborough cemetery chapel targeted again

VANDALS have broken into the chapel at Gainsborough General Cemetery for the second time in three weeks.

At around 5.15pm yesterday, Tuesday 13th March, intruders forced their way into the chapel in the burial ground on Cox’s Hill.

The alarm was activated but nothing was stolen.

Cemetery manager Jimmy Snee said: “This is the second time in a few weeks that entry has been forced.”

“Tools such as a crow bar would have been required.”

Anyone who saw anything suspicious should call the police on 101 quoting incident 377 of 13th March, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
