Gainsborough: Big Co-op Clean up in Laughton Woods

Sue West, Lincolnshire Co-op Member from Gainsborough, said: “I’ve just retired and I was looking for some things to do. I saw the volunteering project on my shopping receipt and it looked like it could be fun, it makes you meet people too and you’re doing something physical.”

“I live in Gainsborough and I do bring my dogs here. I think people should be involved in projects like this if they can be.”

Community Engagement Manager Sam Turner said: “It’s a perfect way to celebrate Co-operatives Fortnight and demonstrate how working co-operatively helps us achieve great results.”

“We hope people will be able to spare a couple of hours of their time to help the local environment.”
