Jadine Ayris, 19, decided to enter the beauty pageant to help build her confidence as she suffers from anxiety.

Despite not being crowned ‘Miss England’ which would have allowed her to compete at a compeition in Florida, Jadine still feels like a winner as the competition has made her more confident and she is now hungry for more.

Jadine said: “I didn’t win the crown but I won in my eyes. I won pride and confidence and now I’m hooked.”

Jadine has already applied for two more pageants, Miss British Isles and Miss Great Britain.

Jadine added: “I will continue to make my town proud and represent everyone who suffers from anxiety and help them to see that anything is possible, no matter what you are struggling with.”

Jadine was chosen to represent Lincolnshire in the Miss Galaxy UK finals where she had to compete in three rounds which were fashion, bikini and evening wear.

Jadine said: “Being on stage was very nerve racking but soon as I stepped out the adrenaline took over.”

“My favorite round was evening wear because I loved my dress which helped me walk with confidence on stage.”

“I suffer from anxiety and this experience has given me the motivation to help make others with anxiety feel like they can achieve anything and that their anxiety can not hold them back in life. I can say I am so proud of myself for doing this as it was a huge confidence boost for me and I would recommend it to any girls out there.”
