The youngster made her way into the final, where she faced team-mate Isabelle Adamsons, and then won the gold medal with a 3-1 win over three rounds.

Frost, six, was thrilled with the result, an excellent follow up to her recent bronze at the British Nationals.

She’s trained by Pete Adamsons and Adele Deakes at Scorpion Taekwondo Centre in Doncaster, but was coached on the day by Scott Abley.

Frost’s team-mates also had excellent results, winning several medals throughout the day, and the second place team trophy overall.

Her last tournament of the year will be in Bradford, run by Quest Taekwondo.

Dad Jason said: “Holly’s mum Tracey and I are very proud of what she has achieved in her first year of competition, and it goes to show that hard work can pay off.”
