Freemasons give cash to local causes

Swimmers are being encouraged to sign up to the Freemasons of Bassetlaw’s annual swimathon.

The event takes place at Worksop College on Sunday 30th June and is part of several charitable activities taking place that day.

Swimmers aged six and over are required to take part in the event which is raising funds for Bassetlaw Scouts and The League of Friends of Bassetlaw Hospital.

The event is the latest fundraising initiative organised by the Freemasons. Several members recently attended a ceremony where they handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
