Tucked away off Bridge Street, The Olive Grove is the ‘moment of madness three years ago’ according to owner and manager Jayne Bagnall. that has become a little slice of the Mediterranean right in the heart of town.
Jayne said: “ I have always wanted to have a coffee shop, but when I saw this area, I thought it would make a lovely little bistro and I just love the Med and the food, and drink associated with it”
“We do a whole range of food from brushchetta and croissants at breakfast time.”
“At lunch time we have pizza, ciabattas, tapas, homemade lasagnes, in fact everything we do is homemade with locally sourced ingredients.”
“And you don’t have to eat here, you can come and just have a coffee or a glass of wine or whatever you want.”
The Olive Grove is open at various times during the week, from 10am to 4pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, 9am to 10pm on Wednesday, 10am to 10pm on Thursday and 9am to 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
And the new thing on the menu now is the all-you-can-eat buffets from 5pm to 10pm on Wednesdays and Thursday and this is where you can come along and claim a free coffee or tea with broiche.
Come along at any time between 10am until 12pm Monday 8th December until Thursday 11th December and you can relax in sophisticated surroundings after some Christmas shopping.
Jayne added: “ At The Olive Grove, as well as buffet nights, we have themed nights, which have proved very popular in the past and we can cater for all manner of other occasions too.”
