FREE: Pint of lager from The Lock Keeper in this week’s Guardian

We have teamed up with the Lock Keeper pub on Sandy Lane in Worksop to offer all our readers a free pint of Sagres lager.

Just cut out the coupon in this week’s issue (out tomorrow) and take it along to the pub from Friday 6th Feburary to Thursday 13th February.

“This is a new lager we have on the bar and it’s from Portugal,” said Lock Keeper landlord Roger Smith. “It comes in a stunning glass and it’s exactly the sort of thing you have on holiday.”

The new beer is just one of the highlights Roger and his staff have at the pub now they have returned to run the venue.

“This is a pub where families can come and relax in lovely surroundings,” Roger said.

“We’re next to the canal, which is really pleasant and we’re well set back from the road, so there’s no noise.”

“It’s all safe for the kids too. We’ve got two play areas, an indoor and an outdoor one, and the kids can all enjoy themselves while the adults relax.”

As well as a wide range of beers and spirits at the bar,the pub is also a big venue for food, notably the carvery.

“We have a full and diverse menu so there really is something for everyone and we’ve got stacks of offers which is another huge bonus for the customers,” continued Roger.

“We do a small carvery for £3.99 and a large carvery for £7.99. We also do two meals for £10, kids eat free between 3pm and 7pm Monday to Friday and if people look us up online on Facebook there are even more offers to enjoy.”
