Free microchips for Clowne dogs

Dog owners in Clowne will be able to have their dog microchipped for free.

The service will be offered by Bolsover District Council’s dog warden on Thursday 6th June, alongside health checks from a PDSA vet.

Microchipping is set to become compulsory by 2016, and helps reunite dog and owner if an animal is lost or stolen.

Advice will be available on responsible dog ownership and canine behaviour, as will free ‘poop scoop’ bags.

The PDSA Health Check Roadshow will be held in the Tesco car park on Mill Street from 9am-4pm.
