Fond farewell to leader

Division commissioner Kirstie Pogson and district commissioner Jenny Walker were also on hand at the small presentation party recently.

The party was held to thank Mrs Barthorpe for her 30 years of service at St Annes.

She told those gathered that she could not count the number of children she had ‘guided’ over all those years.

The brownies presented Mrs Barthorpe, who will continue in her role with St Annes Guides, with an owl family for her garden and a bouquet of flowers, before singing campfire songs.
