FLOOD WARNING: Nottinghamshire at risk according to Met Office

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Nottinghamshire this morning (October 7).

This comes after a torrential downpour yesterday which saw flash floods taking over some areas within the county.

And the national weather service have warned further slow-moving bands of rain throughout today, which could see minor flooding in some areas.

People are being warned about the risk because it could cause disruption to travel.

Today’s forecast for the East Midlands warns the heavy rain along with the odd rumble of thunder. Highs of 13°C.

The rain is due to dry out in the evening with good clear spells developing overnight. Lows of 9°C.

Tomorrow’s weather promises some good sunny spells with light winds, although cloudier in the afternoon with showers. Highs of 14°C
