FIVE YEARS AGO: SLIDESHOW: Heavy snow fall brings Worksop to a standstill
Exactly five years to the day, heavy snow fell in Worksop and surrounding areas, causing major disruption.
More than 100 drivers were stranded on the A57 between Worksop and Anston, as motorists were forced to abandon their cars and take shelter at South Anston Village Hall.
Mountain recue teams were at the scene, as schools were shut, bus services were cancelled and people were told not come to hospital unless it was ‘urgent’.
