Firefighters rush to a vehicle which left the carriageway on the M1

Two lanes of the M1 - Junction 29 to 28 - were closed after a vehicle left the carriageway.

Highways England reported the incident at 9,20am today, Sunday, July 29, and have now said that the carriageway is now open.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "We were at a collision involving a vehicle that had left carriageway. Incident scene made safe by fire service and left in hands of Highways England."
