Firefighters in Derbyshire will take further strike action next week.
The next walk out by Fire Brigades’ Union (FBU) members will take place from 7am on Wednesday 25th February until 7am on Thursday 26th February 2015.
FBU members are in a long-running row with the Government over pensions.
During times of industrial action, the service will continue to provide an emergency response service, albeit at a reduced level.
Assistant chief fire officer, Gavin Tomlinson, said: “Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service will still be responding to 999 calls albeit at a reduced level.“
“Once again we are asking members of the public to take extra steps to reduce the risk of a fire breaking out in their home and to take extra care when driving on the roads during times of industrial action.”
“If you do have a fire, do not try to tackle this yourself, get out, stay out and call 999.”
