Firefighters get cooking

Firefighters are hosting a series of classes for Headway, a charity that supports people affected by brain injury.

Eight people will get 12 hours tuition from local chef Dave Booth, learning basic cooking skills to prepare healthy meals.

Crew Manager Gary Bruce said: “We’ve successfully hosted three cooking class courses already, and so we’re delighted to be able to offer the programme to members of Headway. It will give them useful cooking skills whilst helping them learn about fire safety in the kitchen.”
