A crew from Harworth Fire Station was sent out to the incident, which saw a car alight at Droversdale Road, Bircotes, just after 9pm last night, after receiving an emergency call.

A Nottinghamshire fire service spokesman said the vehicle was well alight when they arrived and the crew used a hose to extinguish the fire, which they added was believed to have been started deliberately.
