Fire services called out to Worksop hotel – to rescue a stuck pigeon

Worksop fire services were called out to a different incident from the usual, as they saved a trapped pigeon from a hotel.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue deployed crews from Worksop today to attend an animal rescue following a call at 2:56pm.

Upon arrival, a pigeon was found trapped in netting on the second floor of The Lion Hotel on Bridge Street.

Crews used a ceiling hook to release the bird.

How long the pigeon was trapped for, or its condition on release, is not known.
