COLDER weather this month could result in an increased risk of fires in the home, according to South Yorkshire firefighters.
They are urging people to heat their homes with care and check electrical appliances are turned off after use, have fire guards, never use hot water bottles in the same bed as an electrical blanket and never leave naked flames unattended.
