Festival looking for sponsors

The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival is riding back into town and organisers are asking local businesses to help make the 2013 event the best yet.

Set to return to Magna between 27th February 2nd March, the festival promises to offer a western spectacular with over 250 real ales.

Alongside the largest collection of real ale, ciders, wines and foreign beers in the North of England, the festival promises a packed line up of music.

Funds raised through sponsorship will be used to replace damaged and worn out equipment, help fund stage equipment and entertainment and the range of drinks.

Established in 1992, the festival is the largest of its kind in the north of England. Since moving to Magna in 2011, it has helped raise more than £75,000 in support of local good causes.

This year’s festival saw over 11,000 visitors through the doors, which helped to raise £40,000 for local charities Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, The Rotherham Hospice, Weston Park Cancer Hospital and the Magna Educational trust.

Festival organiser Steve Burns said the festival was a ‘true community event’ bringing together beer enthusiasts and music lovers.
